Well, it appears that the waters have smoothed considerably! Congratulations to the HUCTW and its membership on the new agreement. As mentioned in this article in Harvard Magazine it reportedly includes health insurance without coinsurance or deductibles and includes raises of 3.4%. It will be interesting to see what reactions are amongst exempt staff and faculty since this agreement formalizes very different health benefits and provides raises that are more than 33% higher for non-exempt compared to exempts (projected at 2.5%) harvardmagazine.com/2016/01/harvard-and-huctw-reach-tentative-contract-agreement |
